About Us

Our founder, Danny, is a single dad of two daughters after his wife lost her battle with breast cancer in 2011.  Elements of his experiences throughout his life, being Puerto Rican growing up in the Virginia suburbs and influences of his daughters, are embedded in all we do and all the products we develop.

The Lida name originated from a conversation between Danny and his wife, Lisa, while they were daydreaming together about living on farmland in the middle of nowhere along some rolling hills and thought out loud, “it’d be cool to name the country lane we’d live on”.  They liked the idea of joining the first two letters of their names to form Lida.  After Lisa lost her battle with breast cancer, Danny decided to give life to Lida and named our company in honor of her.  Lisa and Danny would say “I love you..always” to each other spawning our slogan – “Love. Always.” The sunflower in our logo stems from Lisa’s love for the flower.
